Melissa has specialized in outreach and field organization on numerous campaigns throughout the Midwest.

Melissa’s most recent political experiences include Kerry for President ’04, Kerry Edwards for President ’04, Morrissey for Mayor ’05, and Abdul-Samad for State Representative ’06.

Melissa executed a targeted early-vote program which resulted in record early voting participation by Democrats in Iowa during the 2004 Presidential Election and organized large candidate events with 15,000 plus attendees.

She has previously served as the Canvass Director for the Democratic National Committee and Grassroots Campaign’s national fundraising effort in Cleveland, OH.

Melissa graduated from Loras College in Dubuque, IA with a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy.
